Arcane Brilliance: Mage leveling guide, 21-30

Welcome to another edition of Arcane Brilliance , the weekly mage column that won't give up, will never back down, won't retreat and won't surrender. Arcane Brilliance has the heart of a champion, the eye of the tiger, the soul of a lion, the reflexes of a mongoose, and the gall bladder of an emu. Now, if you'll excuse Arcane Brilliance, it needs to go indulge in an 80's movie training montage to get ready for this column

Patch 3.3 PTR: Meet Arcturis, the newest and coolest Spirit Beast

I was listening in on the Twisted Nether Blogcast and heard Nibuca mention that the new Spirit Bear image we reported earlier this week had been identified. Sure enough, I head over to the one place I knew would have the answer, Mania's Arcania . Sure enough there it was, Mania had a long post giving all the details

Healer survey contains a wealth of information about healing

If you've ever wanted a close-up look at the game's healing zeitgeist, Miss Medicina has it -- she recently started up a survey/meme of healers around the WoW blogosphere, and the answers are now in and posted on her site . They make for some interesting weekend reading, especially if you're interested in healing and what healers think of it.

Around Azeroth: Always safety first

Ah, Halloween! The spookiest night of the year! When young children dress up as ghouls and goblins and are encouraged to go beg for candy from strangers, and adults dress up as all manner of horrifying things and beg for their car keys back after drinking ten Jagerbombs at a party.

WRUP: Happy, happy Hallow’s End edition

Ah, Saturday! That pristine day of the week when one needn't get up early for work, contend with rush hour traffic, or even crawl out of bed if you don't feel like it. Of course, this Saturday also appears to be some kind of crazy, candy-worshiping holiday -- which means you could have friends trying to drag you away from bed (or WoW ) to participate in their candy-coated shenanigans.

Breakfast Topic: The ninja problem

The new LFG system is certainly great, but there's one problem with random PuGs that I'm sure it won't fix, and that is of course the problem of ninjas . As long as random people are getting into groups (and with the new rewards system in place, there'll be plenty of that), some of them will always find the loot more tempting than keeping their reputation clean

Patch 3.3 PTR: Valithria Dreamwalker impressions

I have never been more excited about a boss in my life -- especially from a healer perspective! I do believe this is the first time an encounter has been introduced where DPS doesn't play a primary role in beating an encounter. The spotlight is on the healers! I'll elaborate more after the break as the mechanics for this are very interesting and are of high relevance for healers
